Things about our town
As the Cowlitz County Seat, Kelso has Civic Buildings such as the County Administration Building, the Cowlitz County Historical Museum and a United States Post Office. The new City Hall was completed in 2004 following the completion of the new Allen St. Bridge over the Cowlitz River and railroad tracks.
Kelso renovated the Kelso Station in the mid-1990's, and is served by Amtrak and Community Urban Bus Service, making it the region's first multi-model transportation center. The new Washington State Work Source Employment Resource Center opened early 2008 next to City Hall.
Locally owned businesses are invested in the Downtown Core. Kelso Hardware & Marine is in the center of downtown, and the Kelso Theater Pub & Backstage Cafe have seen recent improvements and remodeling. A number of historic buildings add character and have great potential for downtown.
With new business moving in to Kelso, there is no reason why your business shouldn't join us!
